The weather conditions were almost perfect this year at the Tooting Bec track where the majority of 24 hour runners in the country were doing battle at the same time as the World challenge 24 hour was taking place in Uden, Holland. Don Ritchie (left)set the pace and even though he slowed up a little at the end, hung on with characteristic determination to take the No. 1 spot. Garth Peterson had an excellent race as did walker Sandra Brown ( right) who must have been pleased with third place overall. Geoff Oliver had a tremendous race setting age-group records for M70 at 100k and also world best at 12 hours at M70.
