The trail of books that has been left behind in the wake of research and experimentation is a facinating study in itself. The first text to use the term lucid dreaming was Van Eeden in his 1913 essay. Swami Sivananda also provides some very interesting ideas in this book available free on the the net. In the last twenty years tons of books have appeared that have stepped beyond the lists of dream symbols and their”meanings”. This list is but an introduction to some ideas.
